Overview

Located in the heart of Rome at Piazza di Spagna, McDonald’s offers more than just your standard fast food experience. This outlet stands out by blending the ancient charm of the city with modern fast dining. The restaurant's interior features Roman statues, intricate mosaics, and Renaissance-inspired decor that create a unique atmosphere—a perfect fusion of history and quick-service culture.

McDonald’s Rome caters to a wide audience, from tourists intrigued by the setting to locals seeking familiar comfort food with a twist. The menu reflects classic favourites and locally tailored options. Highlights include the iconic Big Mac, the recently introduced Big Smokey McChicken, and a variety of snack-sized offerings such as 20-piece McNuggets mixes and cheesy bacon fries. For dessert lovers, options range from delicate macarons and cheesecakes to comforting Italian-style cappuccinos and warm croissants.

Notably, this location is gluten-free friendly, with a dedicated burger option crafted without gluten-containing ingredients. While the gluten-free burger is somewhat basic in presentation—lacking sauce and salad—it represents McDonald’s effort toward inclusivity, a thoughtful choice for those with dietary restrictions.

The ordering experience is streamlined with touchscreen kiosks that make the process swift and efficient. While the absence of full table service might be a downside for some, the bilingual staff and clear communication ensure smooth service flow. Seating spans multiple levels, though some guests have mentioned minor logistical quirks like having to collect certain drinks downstairs.

This McDonald’s appeals to a broad demographic—families enjoying the Happy Meal, busy commuters grabbing quick snacks, and travellers drawn by the rich cultural backdrop. Its spaciousness and design allow it to handle busy periods comfortably, while special touches such as branded memorabilia add unexpected charm.

In essence, McDonald’s at Piazza di Spagna doesn’t just serve fast food; it offers a culturally immersive stop in Rome. Whether you’re craving a classic burger, indulging in Italian style coffee, or simply wanting to experience a uniquely styled outlet, this McDonald’s delivers. It’s a convenient, affordable, and visually engaging destination that combines global brand familiarity with local character.

Italian's Mcdonald's in Roma with GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY (Senza glutine) option with a burger 100% Gluten free. I recommand this ristorante if you visit Roma. Reception, Services & Environment : -Very fast, a true fast food, you order in their tablets your menu and it's already prepared in 5-7min not like in other countries... -The downside is that it does not seem to have any table service, you can have it in other Mcdonald's -The inside of the ristorante was beautiful with the Roma Statue and it was clean Prices : -There's special menu with a happy meal and 2 Big Menu for less than 30€ -The price is very cheap compared to others countries -In average, you could pay like 10-15€ and it's okay. Dishes (No entrée, dishes, no desserts) -GLUTEN FREE burger (it's look like a cheese burger with no pickles, no sauce, no salad) -The special Menu with the happy meal and 2 Menu Maxi (1 Double Chicken BBQ, 6 McNuggets) -------------------------------------------- Just to see the inside of this ristorante and if you like Mcdonald's, you have to come here ! Plus bonus : if you're gluten free, they have an option for you with a gluten free burger. Too bad it’s not on the menu and it’s not that good...

The most beautiful McDonald's I've seen in my life! They managed to integrate modernity, technology based services, and the Antique and Renaissance spirit of Rome. It's worth stopping by if you're in Rome. All the great snacks and services from McDonald's.

this is the “rome’s most beautiful mcd” you see on social media. nothing much tbh, just that extra statue. if you order specific drinks, you have to go down to collect even though you are seated at level 2. i was left wondering for very long what happened to my drink.

From the moment we entered it was a fantastic experience. The Roman themed entrance to the building made you feel like you were in a museum and the world’s most ancient McDonalds. The statues, plaques and mosaic lined walls were a special touch. And this was even before we ordered the food. One could be forgiven for thinking that the chimney smoke from the nearby conclave was linked to the latest special menu item, the Big Smokey. It was a quiet evening which was surprising considering the conclave was in session, but the venue is fully prepared for busy periods with an abundance of screens to make your order. The bilingual staff made it very easy to hear our order number and we were soon sat down to eat. We weren’t disappointed! The Big Mac was up to scratch and the fries well seasoned. The Big Smokey McChicken was a delight and McChicken wrap a well rounded dish. The cheesy bacon fries were the only downside to the dinner. There was hardly any cheese on the fries (see attached image). However we quickly forgot about this, as the option to purchase a McDonalds branded football really elevated our experience. My friend took it home to Miami and will cherish it for time to come (see attached picture).

More spacious than most McDonald's I've been in. Something I've not seen before is you need a QR code to use the facilities. The QR code is on your receipt. My photo shows part of the entrance lobby.
